Matt McKenna
Matt is responsible for Capital within Groundup Advisory with a corporate finance career spanning close to 2 decades in the Australian market. Matt has a proven track record in executing complex transactions across the housing continuum – arranging capital for large scale social and affordable projects, specialist disability accommodation through to private market housing. As a trusted advisor Matt has worked with faith -based organizations, community housing providers and government agencies to expand their housing portfolios and ultimately make a significant difference in people’s lives.
Prior to Groundup Advisory Matt worked as a Partner in KPMG’s Corporate Finance division with responsibility for leading the Debt Advisory business in NSW. During his 11-year tenure at KPMG Matt originated and executed capital raising transactions across the social infrastructure, financial services and corporate sectors on behalf of clients ranging from ASX listed corporates to private companies and not-for-profits.
Matt commenced his career in investment banking working for Rothschild & Co and RBC Capital Markets focused on mergers & acquisitions and capital advisory within the Australian infrastructure market.
